Programme Highlights
Dr Robin Sham will present highlights of the design and construction engineering aspects of longspan bridges including the two longest cable-stayed bridges in the world, the Sutong Bridge inChina and Stonecutters Bridge in Hong Kong.SpeakerDr Robin Sham is an Executive Director and Leader of the Long Span and Specialty BridgeGroup, Maunsell AECOM.He has served in research, analysis, design, construction andmanagement of complex infrastructure projects. He is devoted to a career that spans severalcontinents, having worked in numerous large bridge projects including the Second SevernCrossing, Øresund Link, Second Forth Road Bridge, Kap Shui Mun Bridge, Ting Kau Bridge,My Thuan Bridge, Tsing Lung Bridge, and Golden Gate Bridge, and he is currently Maunsell’sProject Director for various significant bridge projects, including work on the world’s twolongest cable-stayed bridges – the 1,018m main span Stonecutters Bridge, and the 1,088m mainspan Sutong Bridge.
